O-RU SIM | O-RAN O-DU/O-CU test simulator

A Simplified Approach to Building and Testing O-RAN O-DU/O-CU Environments

O-RU SIM is an intuitive O-RU simulator designed to streamline O-RAN testing. Running on a standard server, it features a straightforward subscription-based licensing model for cost-effective deployment. With an intuitive and user-friendly GUI, O-RU SIM is the ideal test tool for validating various O-DU/O-CU functions within an O-RAN framework.

What is O-RU SIM? – A Testing system for O-RAN O-DU/O-CU –

O-RU SIM is an advanced O-RU simulator that simulates 5G SA (Standalone) terminals and O-RUs. It provides essential functions for testing various aspects of O-RAN O-DU/O-CU, supporting development phases, quality assurance validation, and interoperability testing in multi-vendor RAN environments.

Running on a standard server, O-RU SIM operates on a simple licensing model based on the number of simulated UEs and subscription duration, ensuring excellent cost performance.

By using O-RU SIM, test configurations become more manageable, and even complex test conditions can be easily set through its intuitive and user-friendly GUI. This contributes to improved efficiency in O-DU/O-CU testing.

O-RU SIM is an O-RU simulator composed of two key components: O-RU/UE simulation software running on a standard server and the manager software responsible for system control and statistical data visualization. Testing conditions and execution operations are managed via an intuitive web-based GUI.

By integrating O-RU SIM with a 5GC, various O-RAN tests can be conducted by isolating the O-DU/O-CU. Compared to conventional testing methods that utilize actual O-RU and UE hardware, this approach eliminates the need for wireless equipment, allowing for a simpler test environment.
